Our shop is tucked away at 368/4, specifically Shop No 30 in the Kamlesh Apartment building. We’re over in Andheri East, Mumbai 400093, and we’re quite close to the HDFC Bank which makes it a convenient landmark for everyone. Being in an apartment complex means we get to know our neighbors really well over the years. Many of our customers just walk down from their flats for a quick trim or a shave before they head out. It makes the shop feel a bit like a community center sometimes where people catch up on news. I’ve been running this place for a few years now, and I’ve seen kids grow up right in my chairs, going from high chairs to the big ones. Mumbai is a fast city, but in here, we take our time to do things properly and not rush the job. I keep my combs in a blue jar and my scissors are always within reach on the counter. The lighting is bright so I can see every detail of a fade or a beard trim for my customers. Sometimes the bank next door gets really crowded, and people come over here while they wait for their turn there just to sit for a bit. I don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that because I don't need one. I just think that if you do a decent job, people will come back and tell their friends. The shop is small, but it's ours, and we take pride in keeping it running every day of the week.
