Richa Beautyparlour & Institute

Our little shop is located right here in Mulekhand, Uran, specifically at Yogeshwar Krupa near the Marathi School. It’s a busy area and we’ve been part of this neighborhood for a while now. Most people know us because we do two things at once here. We run the beauty parlour where folks come in for a haircut or to get ready for a wedding, and we also have the institute side where we teach students. It gets pretty crowded in the afternoons when the students come in to learn. We aren't a big fancy salon with flashing lights, but we have everything needed to do a good job. Mr. Premraj Phulpagar’s place is easy to find if you just ask around the school area. We spend most of our mornings setting up the chairs and making sure the towels are clean. It’s honest work and we like seeing our regulars come back week after week. Sometimes the power goes out or the street gets noisy with the school kids, but that’s just life in Uran. We focus on teaching the girls how to handle threading, makeup, and hair styling so they can maybe start their own thing one day. It’s not just about looking good; it’s about learning a skill that sticks. We’re usually here until late evening finishing up bridal trials or cleaning up the training stations.
