Zaika Darbar

Zaika Darbar is located on MS Ali Road in the Grant Road area of Mumbai. We are right opposite Nishant Cinema, which is a landmark most people in this part of town know. Being near Grant Road Station means there is a constant flow of people walking past our door from early morning until late at night. Mumbai is always moving, and it feels like our restaurant is right in the thick of it all. The space inside is a bit tight, but that’s just how things are in this part of the city. We’ve had to learn how to move quickly around each other in the small kitchen. It’s a noisy, lively place to be. You can hear the sounds of the street and the cinema crowds outside. We don't have any polished corporate mission; we just open up, cook, and serve whoever walks in. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the entrance a bit messy, but we keep the mop handy. Many of our customers are commuters catching a train or people coming out of a movie across the street. We’ve been here for years, and the building shows its age a little, but it has a good feel to it. It’s an honest, local spot where you can get a meal and watch the world go by on MS Ali Road. We just keep doing our work every day.
