Yash Telecom

Yash Telecom is located right in Mahalaxmi at Lohar Chawl 1. It is a tight space but we make it work for everything we do here. I usually open up around ten in the morning and the first thing I do is wipe down the glass counters because the dust from the street gets everywhere. Dealing with phones all day means your hands are always busy with small screws or trying to explain a data plan to someone who isn't very tech-savvy. The chawl is a lively place, always voices shouting or the smell of tea from the stall next door. Sometimes the internet acts up and we have to wait a bit to process a recharge, but that is just how it goes. I’ve lived around here most of my life so I know a lot of the faces that walk through the door. It’s not just about selling a handset; it’s more about being the guy who fixes things when they break. We have chargers, cables, and all those small bits and pieces scattered in the drawers. It gets crowded in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work and wants their phone looked at right away. I try to be fast, but some repairs just take time and patience. It’s a simple life running a small shop in Mumbai, and we just take it one customer at a time. The fan hums all day and the light is a bit dim, but it’s home.
