Kandivali East has its own rhythm, especially near Ashok Nagar. Our office is in Bhoomi Arkade Chs Ltd, specifically room D-701. Yash Diamonds Llp is right opposite the Children’s Academy School. This means we hear the school bell and the kids playing every single day. It’s a lively atmosphere to work in. The building is a typical Mumbai housing society where many people run small businesses from their flats or dedicated office units. We are on the 7th floor, so we get a bit of a breeze. Dealing with diamonds here is a quiet process. We sit at our desks and focus on the small details. It’s not a big corporate floor with glass walls. It’s more like a home office where you can feel relaxed. We have our files stacked up and our tools laid out. People from the society often walk past our door. We’ve been part of this community for a while now. The school kids outside remind us of the time, so we know when it’s time to wrap up for the day. We don’t do any big advertising or anything. People usually find us through word of mouth or because they live nearby. It’s a practical way to work. We like the neighborhood and the fact that we can just walk out and find a good snack stall nearby. It’s just us doing our diamond work in a corner of Kandivali. It works for us and we just keep it going.
