Shreeji Diamond Corporation

Our office, Shreeji Diamond Corporation, is up in 310/ B Everest on J. P. Road in Versova. It’s an older building, but it has a lot of character. Versova has a very specific vibe, especially with the sea nearby, though we don't always get to see it from where we sit. Dealing with diamonds means we spend a lot of time looking through loupes and under bright lamps. It’s quiet work for the most part, though the phone rings plenty. We aren't a big flashy showroom. It’s more of a workspace where we sort stones and handle the business side of things. The elevator in Everest can be a bit temperamental, so we’ve learned to be patient. We have a small tea station in the corner that gets a lot of use. Most of us have been in this trade for years, so it's just second nature now. J. P. Road is always bustling with people and cars, so stepping inside the office feels like a different world. We don't have any fancy slogans. We just focus on the stones in front of us. Some days are long, especially when there is a big shipment to sort through, but we enjoy the routine. It’s a small, tight-knit group here, and we mostly just get on with our tasks without much chatter. It’s just how we’ve always done it at this location.
