Yabba Dabba Doo

Working in Andheri East is always an experience. It’s fast and there’s never a quiet moment on the streets outside. Our place, Yabba Dabba Doo, is right in the middle of all that chaos. We chose the name because it’s a bit different, but we don’t really make a big fuss about it. Most of our day is spent handling whatever comes through the door. It could be someone in a rush or someone just browsing around to kill time. The air in Andheri is always a bit thick with dust and exhaust, but that’s just Mumbai for you. We’ve got a small setup here. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the flashiest shop on the block. We just want to be reliable. Sometimes the rain comes down so hard we have to move everything back from the entrance, and other days the heat is just too much. But we stay open. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and talking to people from all walks of life. We don’t have a polished handbook on how to treat customers. We just talk to them like we’d talk to anyone else. It’s a real place with real people working in it. We have our good days and our bad days just like everyone else. If you’re ever in Andheri East, you might walk right past us if you aren't looking closely. We like it that way, just being a small part of the local scene.
