Bombay Barma Corporation

Bombay Barma Corporation is situated in Masjid Bunder West. We’re up on the 5th floor in Office No 23 of the Hares building. It’s one of those old buildings where the staircase is narrow and the lift is a bit moody. Being in Masjid Bunder means it’s always crowded outside with traders and porters. Our office is a bit of a sanctuary from all that chaos. We’ve been here for quite some time, and the wooden desks have seen better days. We mostly deal with paperwork and coordinating various orders. It’s a traditional setup. We have big filing cabinets that are overflowing, and we really should get around to organizing them one of these days. The windows look out over the busy streets below, and the sound of truck horns is the background music of our workday. We aren't a big modern company with glass walls. We prefer this old-fashioned way of doing business where you know your neighbors in the building. Most of our morning is spent answering calls and checking ledgers. We take a long break in the afternoon when the sun is at its peak. Someone usually goes down to get tea for everyone. It’s steady work and we’ve built a lot of relationships over the years. We don't do much marketing; people just know where we are. It’s a simple, honest place to work. We aim to get our tasks finished by the time the market starts closing up for the evening.
