Saaj Arts & Crafts

We are located at 102 Bajaj Road. It is a small shop that is basically packed from floor to ceiling with all sorts of things. We have got rolls of paper, jars of paint, and heaps of fabrics all squeezed into the shelves. Sometimes it is hard to find what someone is looking for, so we have to dig through the piles in the back room. The dust gets everywhere, and I think I spend half my day sneezing. Bajaj Road is always busy with people and scooters, so there is a lot of noise coming through the front door. We have an old wooden counter that is covered in scratches and dried glue from various projects people have worked on here. It has been here since we opened. We do not really have a system for where things go; we just kind of know where everything is after being here so long. The lights are a bit dim in the back corner, so we have to use a flashlight sometimes to read the labels. It is just me and a helper most days. We spend a lot of time just chatting with the people who stop in. Some of them have been coming here since they were kids. We do not do any big advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here on the road. It is a bit messy and crowded, but it is okay.
