We have been based at the Gurugobind Industrial Est in Goregaon East for a good while now. The shop is usually filled with the sound of the offset machines and the smell of ink is pretty strong once you walk in. We don't have a fancy front office, just a workspace where the machines take up most of the room. Every morning starts with us checking the plates and making sure the paper is loaded correctly. It is a bit of a loud environment, but we are used to it by now. We handle all kinds of printing work for people in the neighborhood and beyond. Sometimes the cutting machine needs a bit of a tune-up or we have to wait for a specific type of paper to arrive. We just take things as they come. The floor is rarely clean because of all the paper scraps, though we try to sweep up at the end of the day. It is a busy place, especially when we have deadlines looming. We don't spend much time on talk, we just get to the printing. The industrial estate is a crowded place with trucks moving in and out, but it suits us just fine. We have a small crew and everyone knows what they need to do. It is not glamorous work, but there is something satisfying about seeing a clean stack of printed sheets ready to be delivered. We just keep our heads down and focus on the ink and paper.
