Our place is at 103, Shristi Square. It’s right on LBS Road in Bhandup West, which means it’s always loud outside with the buses and cars. Wyntronix Innovation is basically just a group of us working in this one big room. We have wires and components scattered on the benches because that’s just how we work. It’s not meant to look pretty for a magazine. We spend most of the morning catching up on emails and then the afternoon is for the actual innovation stuff, which usually involves a lot of trial and error. Some days things go well, other days we just stare at the wall. We have a small pantry where the microwave stays busy. The light in the hallway flickers sometimes, but we’ve gotten used to it. Being in Bhandup West is convenient for the train, so most of us commute that way. We don’t have a big reception area or anything. You just walk in and you’re in the middle of it all. We’ve got shelves full of old projects and manuals that we probably should throw away but we keep them just in case. It’s a very hands-on kind of environment. People come by to talk about their technical needs and we just sit around a desk and figure it out. It’s simple. No one wears a tie here. We just wear what’s comfortable and get on with the day’s tasks.
