This office is tucked away in the Deonar Municipal Colony over in Govandi. We’re in block B/1, which is a pretty well-known spot if you live in this part of Mumbai. It’s not like those massive glass buildings you see in the business parks. This place is more grounded, right in the middle of the colony where people actually live. We spend our days here doing various tasks for the company. There’s always someone coming or going, and the tea stall nearby is where we usually end up during the afternoon slump. Working in Govandi means dealing with the humidity and the bustle of the local market nearby. We’ve got our computers set up and a few fans to keep the air moving when it gets stuffy. It’s a straightforward environment. We don't spend much time on decorations or making things look perfect. The focus is just on the work that needs to be finished by the end of the shift. Most of us have been working here long enough to know the shortcuts through the colony. It's a decent place to be based, even if it’s a bit far out for some. We just keep things running smoothly from this little corner of B/1. Sometimes the street noise gets loud, but we are used to it by now. It feels like a real neighborhood office where we just do our jobs until it is time to go.
