Maxim's Boutique

Maxim's Boutique is tucked away on the second floor of the Municipal Industrial Estate in Worli West. Specifically, we are at Unit No. 65, which is right across from Lady Ratan Tower. It is a bit of a climb up to the second floor, but once you get here, you’ll see we have plenty of work going on. The Gandhi Nagar area is always moving, and being in an industrial estate means there is a lot of activity around us all the time. We focus on clothes and tailoring, mostly. The space is filled with rolls of fabric and sewing machines hum away for most of the day. It’s not the kind of place with a big glass window on the street, so you really have to be looking for us to find us. Being near Lady Ratan Tower helps people get their bearings when they are trying to locate the unit. We have been in this spot for quite some time now, and we like the community feel of the industrial estate. There are always other businesses working nearby. We keep things pretty informal here. Most of our time is spent measuring, cutting, and making sure the stitching is right on every piece we handle. It can get a little messy with threads and scraps on the floor, but that is just part of the process of making clothes by hand.
