World Style

World Style is located in Dharavi Phase-2, at number 414. If you walk through the lanes here, you’ll find us easily enough by the sound of the machines. This isn't a high-end fashion boutique with velvet curtains. It is a working space where fabric is cut and clothes are put together. There are rolls of cloth leaning against the walls and scraps of thread all over the floor by the end of the day. We focus on the work itself rather than having a pretty storefront. Most of our day is spent at the cutting table or checking the stitching on a new batch of garments. It gets pretty warm in here during the summer months, but we keep the big fans going. We have a few people who have been sewing for decades, and they work fast. It’s a very hands-on environment. We don't have a website with fancy photos or a PR person. People know us because they see the quality of what comes out of this small room in Phase-2. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, especially when we have a big order to finish. The neighborhood is always alive and moving, and we are just one part of that energy. We take pride in just doing the job right and making sure the clothes are sturdy and look decent. It is simple, honest work in the heart of Dharavi.
