World At Home

We have been running World At Home from our spot here in Sanjay Building No. 3A for quite some time now. Mittal Estate is one of those places that never really gets quiet, which is just part of the deal when you are located right off the Andheri-Kurla Road. Most days start with us trying to figure out where the delivery trucks can park without blocking the whole driveway. It is a bit of a maze in A/208, but we have our desk space and storage tucked away where we can find everything eventually. The office doesn’t have fancy decorations or anything like that because we are mostly focused on getting things shipped out or sorted. You can hear the traffic from Vasanji Road all day long, and it gets especially loud around five o’clock. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs more often than we would like. It keeps us moving, I suppose. The staff here has been around for years, so we all know each other’s lunch schedules and who prefers the tea from the guy downstairs. It is not a shiny corporate office, just a place where we get the work done and try to keep things organized amidst all the boxes. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking lists, making sure whatever needs to go out is actually ready to move. That is pretty much our daily life here.
