Wockhardt Hospital

Working in Bandra Kurla Complex means we are right in the middle of all the action in Bandra East. It is a busy part of the city, and our hospital reflects that energy every day. People are always rushing around outside, and inside it’s much the same. We have a lot of different floors and hallways, and it takes a while for new staff to learn their way around without getting turned around nearby the elevators. We see a mix of everyone here, from people working in the big offices nearby to residents who have lived in Bandra for decades. The air conditioning is always humming to keep the heat out, and there is a constant sound of footsteps on the linoleum floors. It’s a big building, but we try to keep it feeling human. Sometimes the wait times are longer than we’d like because so many people come through the doors at once. We don't have a polished script for when you walk in; the receptionists just talk to you like a normal person. It’s hard work, and the shifts can be long, but that’s the nature of hospital life in BKC. We just focus on getting the job done. Wockhardt Hospital here isn't a fancy hotel; it's a place where doctors and nurses spend their lives looking after others in a very busy, very real part of Mumbai.
