Parel Hospital

Parel Hospital is located in the New BDD Block, specifically 13B/80 on Govindji Keni Road in Dadar, Mumbai. It is a busy place because health issues don't take a break. The building is older and has that typical hospital smell of disinfectant and medicine. We have nurses and staff moving around the hallways all the time. It is often crowded in the waiting area with families sitting together. We do our best to see everyone, but sometimes the wait is long and people get frustrated. It’s not a shiny new private clinic with art on the walls. It is a practical place where we focus on getting people the care they need. The rooms are simple and the equipment is well-used. We spend our shifts checking on patients and filling out charts by hand. Dadar is a central spot so we get people coming in from all over. The traffic outside is always loud with horns and buses. Inside, we just try to keep things organized enough so the doctors can do their work. We deal with all sorts of illnesses every day. It can be stressful and tiring for the staff. We don't have much time for breaks when it's a full house. We just keep going because people are counting on us. It is a tough environment but it's what we do here in this part of Mumbai.
