Working at Wochardt Hospitals Ltd here in the Bandra Kurla Complex is quite an experience. If you’ve ever been to BKC, you know how it is. Tall buildings are everywhere and people are always in a rush. Our hospital is right in the middle of all that at the Wockhardt Towers. It is a big place and it can feel a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to it. Every morning, the glass doors keep opening and closing as people come in for their appointments or to visit family members. We see a lot of office workers from nearby companies and families who traveled a long way to get here. The elevators are always moving. Sometimes they take a minute to arrive. We spend a lot of time on our feet, going from one floor to another. It gets noisy with all the talk and machines, but we just get on with it. The view from the upper floors shows just how busy Mumbai is. We don’t really have time to look out the windows much though. There is always someone needing a chart or a glass of water or just directions to the right department. The air conditioning is usually humming in the background. It stays cool inside even when the Mumbai heat is hitting hard outside. We just try to make sure everyone who comes in gets what they need without too much fuss. It's a job that never really stops, even late at night.
