Wisemen Agritech Private Limited

Being based in Mumbai while working in agritech feels a bit strange sometimes. We are way up in Wing B of Oberoi Splendor, right on the J V Link Road in Jogeshwari East. From our window at 2408, you see a lot of traffic and tall buildings, but our minds are usually on the farms far away from Mumbai City-400060. Wisemen Agritech Private Limited is our attempt to bring some of the tech side of things to the agricultural world. It’s a small office and we spend a lot of time on our laptops looking at data and maps. We aren't the type to wear suits and give big presentations. We’re more likely to be in jeans, trying to fix a bug in a system or calling up a contact in a rural district. It’s a lot of back-and-forth communication. The city life is fast, but farming is slow, so we have to balance those two speeds every day. We don't have a grand entrance or a receptionist greeting you. It’s just us in a room, working through the challenges of modernizing old ways of doing things. Sometimes the internet is slow or the city noise gets distracting, but we just keep at it. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just one that actually understands how to make technology useful for a farmer. It’s a long road, but we’re just taking it one step at a time here in Mumbai.
