Agarwal Traders

The traffic on Borivali Main Road is something you just get used to after a few weeks of working here. Agarwal Traders is located right by Hotel Granville, so there is always a lot of noise from cars honking and people walking past the entrance. Our day mostly consists of checking boxes and making sure the inventory matches what we have on the clipboards. It gets dusty, especially when the big delivery trucks pull up and we have to move stuff inside quickly before it blocks the sidewalk. Sometimes the tea guy comes around and we take a five-minute break, but mostly it is just steady work from morning until we close up at night. The shelves are packed pretty tight and I’m always reminding the staff to keep things organized so we can actually find what the customers are asking for. Dealing with suppliers takes up a lot of the afternoon, and there is always some paperwork that needs sorting out. It isn't a glamorous job, just a regular trading business where we try to keep things moving. We’ve been in this spot for a long time and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy to get around to it. The lights flicker occasionally when the heavy machinery next door kicks in. It’s a bit cramped in the back office, but it works for what we need to do. We just keep our heads down and get the orders out.
