West End Hotel

We are located at 45 New Marine Lines, which is a part of Mumbai that has a lot of history. The building itself is older, with those thick walls and high windows you don't see much in the newer parts of the city. It’s a busy street outside, especially when the offices nearby let out and everyone is rushing for the train. We get a mix of people staying here, some who have been coming for decades and others who just found us on a map. The elevators are a bit old and they take their time, but they get you there eventually. We don't try to hide the age of the place. It’s part of the character. We spend time keeping the brass polished and the floors swept. The city noise is always there in the background, a constant hum of taxis and people. Our rooms are plain and simple. We don't have all those modern gadgets that nobody knows how to use anyway. Just a bed, a desk, and a window to look out of. Most of the staff has been here long enough to know which rooms get the best light in the morning. We just go about our business, making sure guests have what they need to be comfortable. It’s an honest way to run a hotel. We aren't a big chain with a manual for everything. We just do what makes sense based on the day. Sometimes the rain gets heavy and we have to put out mats near the door.
