Our spot is in Suhash Apartment, over in Christian Pada. This is in the Upper Madh area on Madh Island. Getting here can be a bit of a journey if you are coming from the main part of Mumbai, especially with the ferry and the narrow roads. It’s a lot quieter here than in Malad West. The office is inside an apartment building, which gives it a very local, relaxed feel. We are near Po-Versova, and the sea breeze sometimes reaches us if the wind is right. We handle things for the hotels from this little base. It’s not a grand office with a lobby. It’s just a place where we keep our records and do the administrative work. Sometimes it feels more like a house than a place of business. We’ve got the usual stuff like computers and filing cabinets taking up space. The area around Christian Pada has a lot of history and a very specific vibe that you don't find in the city center. We like it here because it’s a bit removed from the constant noise. We don't have any fancy corporate culture or anything. We just show up, do the work that needs doing, and deal with whatever problems come up that day. It's a practical way of operating, and being on Madh Island makes the workday feel a little different than usual. We often have to deal with power cuts or slow internet, but we manage somehow.
