Wen Parker Logistics India Pvt Ltd is based in Andheri East, right over at Roy Apartment in the 4 Bungalows area. Our office is 9 B, and we are quite close to the Sahar Cargo Terminal Complex. Being so near the airport and the cargo hub means there is always something happening. We spend most of our time on the computer or the phone, tracking where things are and making sure the paperwork is sorted out for the shipments. Logistics is a lot of waiting and then a lot of rushing. The apartment building is a bit of a mix of residential and small offices, so it’s a funny place to work. Sometimes you see neighbors hanging laundry and other times you see delivery guys coming with stacks of documents. We handle a lot of the international side of things, so we’re often working late because of the time zones. It’s not a fancy corporate setup with glass walls. It’s just desks, some old files, and a lot of coffee mugs. The traffic near the cargo terminal can be a nightmare in the evenings, but that’s just life in Andheri. We try to keep things moving as smoothly as possible, though the customs and shipping lines always have their own delays that we have to explain to everyone. It’s just how this business goes. We have plenty of tea and the radio is usually on to keep us going through the long afternoons. It's quite busy.
