Sitara Shipping Ltd

Our office is on the third floor of the Esplande School Building in the Fort area. It is Room Number 3 and 4, and you have to climb a few flights to get to us. The building is old and looks exactly like you would expect a place in Fort to look, with high ceilings and heavy doors. Sitara Shipping Ltd has been operating from this spot for a while. Being in Odhav Gam means we are around a lot of schools and local shops, so the noise from the kids playing outside is pretty common. It is not the quietest place to work but it feels alive. We handle a lot of shipping documents and coordination from these rooms. The desks are usually piled high with folders because there is always something to track or a ship to check on. We are not big on flashy office furniture or expensive carpets. It is a practical space where we focus on the logistics of moving goods. Sometimes the lift does not work, so we get our exercise in. The staff here is used to the pace of the shipping industry. We just handle the day-to-day tasks as they come. There is always a lot of shouting across the room to get things done, but it is all in good spirits. We keep it simple and try to make sure nothing gets lost in the shuffle of the busy Mumbai port life.
