Watermelon The Kids Saloon Vashi is actually found in Bal Rajeshwar Apts on Bal Rajeshwar Road in Mulund W. Even though the name mentions Vashi we are firmly set up in the Mulund West neighborhood. It is a residential area so we get a lot of parents bringing their kids in after school or on their days off. The shop is filled with bright stuff to look at because kids need a lot of distraction when they are getting their hair cut. We have the special chairs that look like toys and there is usually a cartoon playing to keep their eyes on the screen instead of the scissors. It can get a bit chaotic when there are three or four kids all waiting at once and they start playing with the toys in the middle of the floor. We do our best to keep the place organized but it is hard when you are dealing with toddlers all day long. The staff here knows how to handle a kid who is having a bit of a tantrum which happens more often than you might think. We keep the spray bottles hidden until we actually need them so the kids do not get startled by the water. The shop is a bit small but it fits everything we need to get the hair done and keep the parents happy. We spend a lot of time sweeping up the tiny fine hair.
