Our office is on the 3rd Floor of Shriram Industrial Estate, at C-31. It’s right on G. D. Ambekar Road, near the telepone exchange in Naigaion Wadala. Being in an industrial estate means there’s always something going on. Trucks are loading and unloading downstairs, and the lift is usually busy with people moving goods. Up here at Synergy Fashions, it’s mostly just us and our stacks of fabric. We have sewing machines and cutting tables spread across the room. The walls are a bit dusty, and the paint is peeling in some corners, but it doesn't bother us. We’re here to work. We spend the day cutting patterns and stitching samples. Wadala can be quite noisy with all the industrial activity, but we’re used to it by now. We have a small corner where we keep the water cooler and a few chairs for breaks. Most of our time is spent on our feet, moving between the tables. We handle a lot of different materials, so there’s always lint in the air. We don't have any big signs or fancy decorations. It’s just a functional space where we produce clothing. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, but usually, we’re keeping a steady pace. It’s a lot of hard work, but we’ve got a good rhythm going. If you come by, you’ll probably find us covered in loose threads.
