Just Left

Our little spot is located at 206 Dheeraj Basera, right across from the Shiv Parvati temple. We are off Chincholi Bunder Road in Malad West, which is a part of Mumbai that never really stays quiet for long. The building is one of those older ones that has a lot of character, though the elevator can be a bit slow on Monday mornings. Working in Mumbai, especially in a place like Malad, means you get used to the sounds of the traffic and the vendors outside. We are on the second floor, so we can see most of what’s happening on the street below. Inside, the office is pretty cramped with desks and stacks of papers that we keep meaning to file away properly. It’s not the kind of place that looks like those modern offices in the movies. We’ve got a couple of ceiling fans that hum all day and a small kitchen area where we make way too much coffee. Most of our neighbors in Dheeraj Basera are nice people who have been here for years. We ended up here because it was a convenient location for the commute, and we just stayed. Chincholi Bunder Road is always a mess with the construction, but it’s home for us now. We just come in, do our thing, and try to keep up with everything. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but we know where everything is. Just Left has been operating out of this Mumbai office for a bit now, and while it’s not perfect, it suits us fine.
