Vohra Auto Spares

This shop in Chembur has been around longer than many of the new buildings you see going up nearby. We are located at Office No 10/11 in the Acharya Comme area. It is a very busy spot to work in. Most of what we do involves grease, metal, and stacks of spare parts. If a car part is hard to find, we usually have it tucked away somewhere in the back of the store. The shelves are built quite high and they get a bit dusty because there is so much inventory to move. My hands are usually pretty dirty by ten in the morning, which is just part of the life. It is a small team here, just three of us who actually know where everything is kept. The phone rings quite a bit with people asking if we have a specific gasket or a filter. We do not do much fancy talking here. If the part is in stock, we tell you the price. If it is not, we try to tell you where else to look. The office is tucked away, so you have to keep an eye out for the sign when you arrive. Sometimes the old coffee machine we have breaks down, and those are the tough days. We have seen the neighborhood change quite a lot over the years. New shops come and go, but we have stayed right here. It is just a straightforward way to make a living.
