VIVEK TEXTILES

We are based at G-8/9 in the Ivy Centre, right on Patel Estate Road. Being near the Amboli Police Station in Jogeshwari West means there is always something happening outside our doors. This part of Mumbai is always moving fast, and our textile shop is right in the thick of it. We deal with all kinds of fabrics and cloth rolls. The shop is filled with stacks of material reaching almost to the ceiling. It can be a bit of a maze sometimes when we are looking for a specific pattern or color. We spend a lot of time unrolling fabric for people to look at and then rolling it back up again. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting the heavy bolts of cloth throughout the day. The lighting inside isn't the best, but we know our stock well enough to find what we need. We don't have a big sales team; it's just us handling the orders and talking to the people who walk in. Some days are quiet, but usually, it's quite hectic with deliveries coming in and out. The traffic on Patel Estate Road is often blocked up, so we hear a lot of honking while we work. We've been in this spot for a while and have seen the buildings around us go up. We just keep doing our thing, surrounded by piles of cotton and polyester in Jogeshwari. It’s a busy life, but the cloth business keeps us on our feet.
