Vita Tex

We are up on Malabar Hill at 2-A, Ganga Lahiri Bldg. It’s a nice area, usually a bit quieter than the rest of the city. We are near Walke, which is a good spot for a walk if you have the time after visiting. Our business is Vita Tex, and we handle textiles. We have rolls of fabric tucked into almost every corner of the space we have here. It’s a residential-style building so it feels more like a home than a regular shop. We spend our time looking at patterns and checking the quality of the cloth that comes in. We don't have a big staff or a fancy display window to show off the goods. Most of what we do is just handled through phone calls or people we've known for a long time. Malabar Hill has been our home for a long time now. We like the breeze we get from being a bit higher up. The building itself is older and has its own character. Sometimes the stairs are a bit much if we are carrying heavy bolts of fabric up and down. We don't do any big promotions. We just focus on the textiles we have in stock. It’s a quiet way to run a business. We have our coffee in the morning and start going through the daily orders. It’s a comfortable place to work and we know the neighbors well.
