Virag Roadlines

We operate out of Godown No 60 on Poona Street. It’s right across from where Sandhut Road meets Opera House. It is a very busy part of the city, and there is always a lot of shouting and horns honking. Virag Roadlines has been here for years. The godown is a big, open space with high ceilings and it stays surprisingly cool even when it’s hot outside. We have stacks of crates and boxes waiting to go out. The floor is concrete and has some cracks in it from all the heavy loads over the years. We spend our days tracking shipments and making sure the loaders know what goes where. It’s a lot of physical work and keeping track of schedules. There is a small desk tucked in the corner where we keep the ledger and the phone. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, with all the dust from the street and the trucks, but it’s where the work gets done. You can see the traffic moving past the big doors all day long. Sometimes we stand out front just to catch a bit of a breeze. Dealing with roadlines means you’re always thinking about the next destination. We don't have a website or anything like that; people just know we are here at Poona Street. It’s a tough business but we’re used to the grind. We just keep the trucks moving and the paperwork sorted.
