Alanka Transport Corporation

Alanka Transport Corporation is located right on Link Road in Kurla West, at Shop No 85 A. It’s a small shop in a very busy part of the city. If you’ve ever been to Kurla, you know how much of a scramble it is with the cars and the people everywhere. Our shop is usually packed with ledgers and old delivery receipts. We don't have much space, so we have to be really organized, though it might not look like it to someone walking in. I spend most of my day sitting behind the desk, talking to customers and taking down their details. We move a lot of stuff for the local markets. The drivers have a tough time with the Kurla traffic, especially during the monsoon when the roads get flooded. We’ve had this spot for years and the sign outside is starting to fade a bit. We don't really bother with fancy decorations or marketing. Most of our customers come to us because they’ve used us before or their father used to use us. It’s a family-run kind of thing, and we take it one day at a time. Sometimes things go wrong, a package gets delayed or a truck breaks down, and we just have to deal with it as best as we can. It’s just normal life here at the transport office. We’re just here to get the work done and go home.
