Continental Transport Organisation Pvt Ltd is situated right on Govandi Station Road, at B-110. Being so close to the station means there’s a constant stream of people and noise outside our doors. It’s a very lively part of town. Our office is on the ground floor, which makes it easy for people to just pop their heads in. The space is quite narrow, filled with tall stacks of paper and several chairs that have seen better days. We don't have much in the way of decoration, just a clock on the wall that's about five minutes fast and a map of the local routes. The humidity can be quite something in this part of the city, so we usually have the door open to get a bit of air moving through. We spend our time answering the phone and writing out receipts. There’s a lot of coordination needed with the railway schedules because of where we are located. It’s a fast-paced environment but we try to keep a calm head about things. Sometimes we get a bit overwhelmed when three different deliveries show up at once, but we just take it one step at a time. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the most polished company out there. We just want to do the work, get the goods delivered, and make sure the paperwork is in order at the end of the shift.
