Vinayak Electric Hardware & Sanitary Ware

We've been at Shop No. 9 in Bara Chawl for a while now. Most people around Lower Parel West know us by the name Vinayak Electric Hardware & Sanitary Ware. It’s a bit of a long name, but it tells you exactly what we do. If you need a lightbulb or a new tap for the bathroom, you just come down to Sunmil Road. The shop isn't huge, but we keep a lot of things on the shelves. Sometimes it looks a bit crowded in here. It gets busy during the mornings when local contractors stop by before their jobs start. We try to keep track of what people usually need so we don't run out. If you are fixing something at home and need a specific part, we probably have it tucked away somewhere. We aren't fancy, just a regular local hardware store trying to help the neighbors. It can get loud around here with the traffic and the trains, but that's just Lower Parel. My family helps out with the shop too. We've seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. Some of the old buildings are gone, but we are still here at Building No. 5. If something breaks in your house, just walk over. We talk to everyone who comes in. It's more than just selling pipes and wires for us. It's about being part of the street.
