We've been here at the Rahejas building on the third floor for a while now. It's right at the corner of Main Avenue and VP Road in Santacruz West. People know the name H And R Johnson because of the tiles and things, but mostly we’re just here doing our jobs every day. The traffic outside can get pretty loud, especially in the afternoons, but inside it’s just us handling orders and talking to people who need stuff for their houses. It’s a busy spot. You see the same faces coming in and out of the building. We deal with ceramics and bathroom fittings, mostly keeping track of what goes where. The office isn't anything fancy, just a place to get the work done. Sometimes it’s a bit chaotic with the phones ringing and everyone trying to coordinate deliveries across town. Santacruz is a good area, though finding parking near the corner can be a real pain for anyone visiting. We just try to keep things moving. Most days are pretty much the same, checking inventories and making sure the paperwork for the tiles is in order. It’s straightforward work. We don’t really do big speeches or anything like that. If someone needs to find us, we’re just up those stairs. It feels like we’ve become part of the neighborhood landscape after all this time. We just focus on what’s in front of us. It's just a job at the end of the day.
