Rishabh Ceramics

Our shop is situated on Nehru Road, right by the Vakola Bridge. If you look across from the Vakola Police Station in Santacruz East, you’ll see us. We’ve been here for quite a while, focusing on ceramics. It’s a lot of heavy boxes of tiles and bathroom fittings. The place is often crowded with stock because we try to keep a variety of patterns and sizes on hand. Ceramic is fragile stuff, so we spend a lot of time being careful with how we move things around. You wouldn't believe how many different shades of white there are until you start working here. People come in with photos of their renovated rooms and we try to match them with what we have in the warehouse. It’s a lot of chatting with customers and showing them the difference between matte and glossy finishes. The road outside is always busy, especially being so close to the police station, but we’re used to the noise. We aren't a big showroom with fancy displays. We’re more of a hands-on shop where people can come and touch the tiles. We just do our work, keep the floors swept as best we can, and try to make sure everyone gets the right number of boxes for their project. It’s a straightforward business and we like it that way. We just keep stacking the boxes and helping people pick out what they need for their homes.
