Benz Fashion

Benz Fashion is situated in the Pragee Shopping Centre, which is Shop No. 1/125. We are right off Bajaj Road and Besant Road, very close to the Vile Parle Station on the west side. It’s a very busy area because of the train station. You can always hear the announcements and the trains passing by if you listen closely. The shopping centre is a bit older, but it’s a good place for us. We’ve been here for a while, selling clothes to the locals and the students from the nearby colleges. The shop is small and we have to be clever with how we hang everything so people can actually see the stock we have. It’s not a corporate environment at all. It’s just us and the clothes. Sometimes the shop gets very crowded during the evening rush when people are heading home from the station. We spend a lot of time folding and re-folding items that people have looked at and put back wrong. We don’t have a big mission statement. We just try to have a good variety of stuff so people find something they like. Vile Parle West has a specific vibe, and we feel like we fit in well. We know many of the other shop owners in Pragee. It’s a community. We open up every morning, sweep the front, and wait for the first customers to wander in from the station.
