Vidhi Interior

You can find us at Shop No. 6, situated within the 9/11/13 block on Baskar Lane, right in the Bhuleshwar area. If you’ve ever been to this part of the city, you know how tight the lanes are and how many people are always rushing around. We work out of a small space here at Vidhi Interior, focusing on interior stuff and small fixtures. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we get a big delivery, but we make it work. Most days it’s just me and one other worker managing the counter and the back storage. We don’t have a big display, so we usually show people catalogs or just show them what’s currently in the crates. The building is old, and the electricity can be a bit temperamental, especially when it rains hard. We’ve been in this lane for a long time, so we know all the other shopkeepers nearby. Business is steady, mostly people coming in because they heard about us from a neighbor or a contractor. It gets really loud outside with the horns and the street vendors, but inside we just focus on the orders. We try to keep things simple and don't bother with anything too complicated. Lunch is usually eaten standing up or sitting on a stool between customers. It’s hard work, but this shop is what we know. We sometimes stay late to organize the inventory when the street outside finally goes quiet. It’s just how things are done here in Bhuleshwar.
