We are over at 30 J B Nagar in the Miller Ganj area. This is an old printing shop where the machines have been running for a very long time. You can smell the ink and the paper as soon as you turn the corner. We do all sorts of printing work, mostly for local businesses who need cards or bill books. The space is filled with stacks of different kinds of paper, from thin sheets to heavy cardstock. It’s quite noisy when the presses are running, so we often have to shout to hear each other. Miller Ganj is a place where people do real work with their hands, and we fit right in. My clothes usually have a few ink spots on them by the end of the day. We don't do the fancy digital stuff you see in the malls. We stick to the traditional ways because it’s what we are good at. The light in the shop isn't great, but we know where every tool and every plate is kept. Sometimes the paper deliveries arrive late and we have to stay into the night to finish a job. It is a bit dusty and cramped, but it has been our livelihood for a long time. We have an old radio that plays in the background, though you can barely hear it over the rhythmic thumping of the machines. It’s just us, the ink, and the paper every day.
