Anil Art Printers

Anil Art Printers is tucked away in Room No 23 on the first floor. We are in the Old So building, right at the corner of Gulalwadi in the Girgaon Gne Market area. It is one of those old Mumbai buildings where you have to know where you are going or you might miss the stairs. Once you get up to the first floor, you’ll hear the sound of the machines. We’ve been doing printing here for years. The market downstairs is always loud and full of people selling all sorts of things, so it’s never quiet. We mostly do paper work, cards, and small jobs for the local businesses around Girgaon. The air smells like ink and paper, which I’ve grown to like over the years. It’s a family-run kind of setup, so there’s usually a pot of tea going somewhere in the back. Our desks are crowded with samples and old proofs. We don't have a fancy showroom. People just come in, show us what they need, and we figure out how to print it on the old presses or the newer digital ones we got. Girgaon is a tight-knit place, and Gulalwadi is right in the heart of it. We see the same faces every week. We aren't looking to grow into some huge factory; we like being on the first floor where we can see the market corner and just do our work. It keeps us busy and the bills paid.
