Our shop is tucked away in the Laxmi Nivas Building, just behind the Olympycs Building on Station Road. If you are walking from the station toward Mahim Paud Road, it’s easy to find once you know where to look. It’s a bit of an old-school printing place. We have the smell of ink and paper in the air all day long, which you get used to after a while. Most of the time, the machines are running and making quite a bit of noise, so we have to shout a little to hear each other. We do all sorts of printing jobs for people in the neighborhood. Some folks come in for just a few copies, while others have much bigger projects they need help with. It’s a small space, so things can get a bit cramped when we have a lot of paper stock sitting around. We’ve seen the area change quite a bit over the years, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. We just focus on getting the colors right and making sure the cuts are straight. It’s hard work, and our hands are usually stained with some kind of dye by the end of the shift. We don’t go for anything too flashy here. It’s just a practical workspace where we try to keep the printers humming along without too many breakdowns. There is always something to fix or a new batch of ink to mix up.
