Venus Parcel Services

Venus Parcel Services is based out of Room No 144 in Vidya Bhavan, right in the Fana Kalbadevi area. If you know Kalbadevi, you know it is always packed with people and carts moving things around. We are on the 100 Feet Ring Road, right across from the Saibaba Temple, which is a big landmark for us. People usually just say "the shop near the temple" when they are looking for us. We handle a lot of parcels, as you might guess from the name. The room is usually full of boxes and tape. It gets a bit cramped, but we know where everything is. We have been in this spot for a while now. Most of our day is spent weighing things and writing out labels by hand. It’s not high-tech or anything, just practical work. The temple bells across the road are quite loud in the mornings, which is a nice way to start the day I suppose. We are just a local team. There is no big corporate office in some skyscraper. It’s just us in Vidya Bhavan. We see the same faces every day, people bringing in stuff to send to their families or for their small businesses. We drink a lot of chai from the stall downstairs. Sometimes the traffic on the ring road makes it hard for the delivery vans, but we manage. We just keep moving the boxes and making sure the addresses are readable.
