Venoo Printers

Ajanta Shopping Centre is a busy place, and Shop No 9 is right in the thick of it. I’ve been running Venoo Printers from this spot in Kandivali West for years. The shop isn't very big, and most of the space is taken up by the big printing machines and stacks of paper. It smells like ink and warm machinery in here all day long. I remember when we first moved in, the floors were still being polished. Now, the tiles are a bit worn down from people coming in to get their visiting cards or wedding invites done. I spend a lot of time looking at screens and adjusting colors. It’s not just about hitting a button; sometimes the paper jams or the toner runs out at the worst time. People from the neighborhood stop by, sometimes just to ask for directions or to print a single page for a school project. I don't mind. The shopping center gets really crowded on weekends, so I try to get the big jobs finished by Friday. My hands usually have a bit of blue or black ink on them by five o'clock. It’s a bit of a messy job, but it’s what I know. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us making sure the margins are straight. If you come by Shop 9, you’ll probably hear the hum of the Xerox machine before you see me.
