Vasant Bhuvan Restaurant is at 399/399 A, Manek Chambers. We are on Dr Bhadkamkar Marg, which most people still call Lamington Road. This is in the heart of Mumbai, near the Imperial Cinema. If you’ve ever been to Lamington Road, you know it is the place for electronics and it is always incredibly crowded. People are everywhere, stacks of boxes sit on the sidewalks, and the honking is constant. Our restaurant is right in the middle of all that. Many years have passed with us in this spot, and the building, Manek Chambers, has that old Mumbai feel to it. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning that works perfectly all the time. Instead, it’s a spot where shoppers and shop owners from the electronics market come to eat quickly. Plain walls and fast fans are what you’ll find inside to keep the heat away. We don't really have a website or anything like that. People find us because they are already on the street looking for computer parts or going to the cinema. Life is very busy here. We start early to get things ready before the market opens up. It’s loud, it’s dusty, and it’s always moving. Providing a place to sit for a bit and eat something simple is what we do. That is the whole story of Vasant Bhuvan. We are just a small part of the Lamington Road chaos. It's just a regular Mumbai day.
