Vanita Vikas Junior College Of Commerce

You can find us on the 3rd floor of the building at Plot No 279 in Ghatkopar East. We have been running Vanita Vikas Junior College Of Commerce for a good number of years now. It is a busy part of Mumbai, so there is always a lot of noise from the street, but we have gotten used to it. The climb up to the third floor keeps everyone fit, I suppose. We have a few large rooms where the lectures happen, and a small area for the staff to sit and do their grading. It is not a fancy campus with a playground; it is a place for students who are serious about their commerce subjects. We see a lot of young people coming in from all over the local area, usually rushing to catch the train or a bus after classes end. The walls are lined with old cupboards full of files and ledgers, which seems fitting for a commerce college. We do not spend much on decorating or making the place look like a corporate office. It is just desks, benches, and whiteboards. Sometimes the fans are a bit loud, and the light flickers, but the teaching goes on regardless. Most of the staff have been here a long time, so we know the families in the neighborhood pretty well. We just keep our heads down and focus on getting the syllabus finished and helping the students pass their exams each year.
