K.J. Somaiya College Of Arts & Commerce

We’ve been here in Ghatkopar West for a long time now. People around here know the Jagdushah Nagar area well, especially since the Rifle Range is right nearby. Our spot is at A-1/22 in the D.G.Q.A. Complex. It’s a busy place most days. Most mornings you see students walking up from the station or getting off buses to get to class. The college has become a big part of the local scene over the years. We have the arts and commerce sections running out of this building. It’s not a fancy glass skyscraper or anything like that. It’s just a solid, functional place where people come to learn and get their degrees. There’s always someone at the gate or hanging out in the corridors between their lectures. You can hear the noise from the street sometimes, but inside everyone is just focused on their books or chatting about upcoming exams. The staff knows many of the regulars who pass by. We’ve seen many batches of students pass through these doors and move on. Ghatkopar has changed quite a bit lately, but this corner stays pretty much the same. It’s got that old-school Mumbai college feel where things are a bit crowded but everything works out fine. We don’t really do big speeches. The address is easy to find if you’re looking for the Rifle Range area. If you walk past the complex, you’ll see the sign for K.J. Somaiya. It’s a plain building, but it does the job.
