Swami Vivekananda College Of Distance Education

We started this place in Mira Road East, right across from the Reliance Fresh on Station Road. It's inside Shanti Vihar, at office 3 A/8. We handle a lot of distance education stuff here for people who can't go to regular classes. Some of us have been working here a while now. The office is small but we keep it busy with paperwork and talking to students. Most days it's just about getting the forms filled out and making sure people know what courses are available. We named it Swami Vivekananda College because it felt right for an education center. It's easy to find if you're coming from the station. We don't have fancy lobbies or anything like that. Just a couple of desks and some chairs where we sit and talk to anyone who drops by. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking files for the different universities we work with. People come in asking about degrees or how to study while they are working jobs. We try to help them figure out the schedules. Sometimes it's noisy because of the traffic on Station Road, but we've gotten used to it. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation here. We have a small team and we know each other well. We keep track of the applications and try to stay organized so nothing gets lost in the shuffle. It's a straightforward place and we like it that way.
