Vandana Traders

Our place, Vandana Traders, is located at D-7 in the Ansa Industrial Estate. It’s off Saki Vihar Road in the Saki Naka area of Andheri East. If you know this part of Mumbai, you know how hectic the traffic can be, especially with the trucks coming in and out of the estate. The industrial estate is a busy place with lots of noise and people moving goods all day. We have a small warehouse space where we keep our stock. It’s usually a bit dusty because of all the movement outside, but we try to keep the products clean. We spend most of our time checking invoices and making sure the loaders are putting the right boxes on the right trucks. It’s a lot of physical work and paperwork combined. Sometimes we lose track of time because there are no windows in the back part of the unit. We just keep going until the work is done. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We’ve been in Ansa Industrial Estate for years, so we know the security guards and the other business owners around here. We just focus on getting the trading done and keeping things moving. It’s a straightforward business without any of the extra fluff you see in big corporations.
