We run Valabdas Tirathdas Greeting Cards Gifts Pvt Ltd from Plot Number 60 on Kamala Nehru Cross in Kandivali West. We’re right near the fire brigade station, so people usually find our building without much trouble. The place is a mix of a large warehouse and a small office. We have thousands of different greeting cards and small gift items stacked up on metal shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. It’s a bit of a colorful mess, to be honest with you. We’ve been in the gift business for quite some time now, and we’ve seen all sorts of trends come and go over the years. People still like sending physical cards, though, which keeps us busy throughout the year. Our staff spends most of their time packing up orders or sorting through new designs that arrive from the manufacturers. It’s a local operation, and we know many of our regular shopkeepers by name. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just focus on keeping the shelves stocked with things people might actually want to give to their friends or family. The area around the fire brigade can get a bit congested with traffic, but it’s a good spot for our distribution. It’s a lot of manual work, moving heavy boxes and counting stock, but it’s nice to be part of people’s celebrations in a small way. We just keep doing our thing.
