V R Engineering Works

If you head over to Dahisar, you’ll find us at V R Engineering Works. We are based in the Shukla Compound on Mysore Road, specifically at Unit No 30. This place is an industrial area, so there’s always the sound of machinery and tools going in the background. We handle various engineering jobs, mostly turning parts on the lathe or doing some custom metal work. The shop is full of heavy equipment and the smell of cutting oil. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, as there are metal shavings all over the floor by the end of the day, but that’s how you know we’re working. I’ve been running this unit for a good while now. It takes a lot of patience to get the measurements right on some of these pieces. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle the machines. The compound gets quite busy with trucks coming in and out, which can make things a bit cramped near our unit. We don't really do any fancy promotion; people usually find us because someone told them we could fix a specific part or make something from scratch. It’s a practical, hands-on kind of life. We show up, put on our overalls, and get to work on whatever the day brings. It’s about doing a decent job with the tools we have and making sure the parts fit correctly before they leave the shop.
